Drag Artist, Lip Sync queen
Lasey Dunaman is a classy glamour queen from the Macleay Valley of NSW, originally from Kamilaroi country of NSW Lasey was raised on country with close connections to family and tradition. Growing up between the coast and country Lasey has a love for the ocean but will always be a country queen at heart. Kicking off her drag persona in 2013 with a debut performance for the LGBTI community of Tamworth Lasey fell in love with the art of drag and with a passion to perform Lasey became destined to persue her lifelong dream of performance art through the power of drag. Since then there has been no turning back for Lasey, March 2014 saw Lasey perform at her first big show sharing the stage with some of Australia’s finest Aboriginal Drag queens such as Nova Gina, Destiny Haz Arrived and Ruby Royal Reserve just to name a few. The show was a drag extravaganza performed for the International Women’s Committee annual gala dinner. Following this sell out show Lasey became known locally and collaborated alongside Dunghutti Queen Nova Gina creating the Dreamtime Divas, performing to sell out shows in the Macleay Valley and Mid North Coast they scored their first big gig headlining for the Tropical Fruits Queens Ball in the Northern Rivers of NSW.
